Assistant Directing
My approach to directing is first and foremost text-based: I start by delving into the world that each character builds through language and non-verbal expressions.
I then create movement—rich and expansive physical tableaux that shape the characters’ ways of moving and inhabiting their spaces.
I work in close collaboration with performers and writers, listening to their instincts and ideas as we make a piece together.
