– Hilton Als, The New Yorker
“simple but sublime… touches the deep wellsprings of our attraction to theater.”
– Charles Isherwood,
The New York Times
The show featured Ellen Maddow and Paul Zimet of Talking Band and Abby Browde and Michael Silverstone of 600 HIGHWAYMEN.
I loved working with this group of inspiring artists on this piece. It explores the close personal and professional relationship between these two couples, who have built their careers and lives in the theater in two different eras, and investigates how intergenerational influences and artistic legacy manifest in their work. You can read more about show in this New York Times piece.
I served as assistant director on the from late 2022 through February 2024. We gave a number of industry showings in January 2023 and May 2023 before taking the piece to the Noorderzon festival in the Netherlands in August 2023. We then had a sold-out run during the inaugural season of PAC NYC.
