Push Party is a lively ensemble comedy about six Black women trying to uphold fifteen years of friendship at a post-birthing party in Harlem. The Hearth’s world premiere production of Push Party ran from June 7-23, 2024 at Theaterlab (357 W 36th St). You can see the full team here. If you made it, we hope you enjoyed the show!
Our partnership with the Foundation allowed us to invite a wide range of community groups whose missions aligned with the themes of the play. We’re so grateful to have been able to offer them complimentary tickets and snacks along with a great show! These groups included: Exodus Transitional Community, Harlem Children’s Zone, Hour Children, Maroon Theatre Project, The Birthing Place and Maryam (supported by The Victoria Project)
If you enjoyed Push Party and you’d like to see more amazing new work, please consider donating to The Hearth. Your donation will go directly to supporting the artists who create these marvelous new theater pieces, from our full productions to our early-stages workshops.
Help us fulfill The Hearth’s mission to champion the work of emerging artists of underrepresented genders. Read more about our fall production, RACECAR RACECAR RACECAR, and stay updated about more opportunities to see (and create!) other Hearth-supported work.
